Missing woman Web site hits markMore than 250,000 people have logged onto a Web site dedicated to finding a missing Los Gatos woman, according to the site's sponsor, Hurricane Electric of Fremont. The number of "hits" on the site, http://www.findjeanine.com/, passed the mark in just 23 days of operation, the company says. Shortly after Jeanine Harms, 42, disappeared on July 27, friends and family members set up the site to increase the exposure of the case and to keep the public informed of new leads, contributions and rewards for information. "We are happy that the site is receiving so many hits," says Mike Leber, president of Hurricane Electric. "One person out there viewing the Web site will hopefully have the information that so many people are looking for." On the Web site, family members have posted pictures of Ms. Harms and family video footage, along with a video excerpt from the "America's Most Wanted" television program, which details the disappearance. Hurricane Electric is a business technical service provider which operates its own national network. ![]() |
